From August 23 till September 1 Moscow’s Red Square will be hosting the Twelfth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival. This year, among other pleasant surprises, the Festival will treat its audiences with brilliant performance of the Exemplary Band of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

An exciting spring/summer season full of beautiful music is ahead of all the Muscovites and guests of the capital, ready to present them with concerts by the best military bands onstage of Moscow’s parks and gardens.

Moscow is looking forward to once again hosting military music and artistic ensembles from all over the globe at the Twelfth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, held on Red Square from August 23 to September 1, 2019.

Today, Major General Timofey Mayakin, Head of the Military Music Band Service of the Russian Armed Forces — Chief Military Conductor and Music Director of the Spasskaya Tower Festival marks his fiftieth anniversary.

May 11 Moscow is once again hosting qualifications for the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Brass Bands Festival. The run-up is being held in the form of a contest among young participants representing the Central Federal District.

Today one of the largest national museums of Russia, loyal friend and partner of the Spasskaya Tower Festival celebrates its 147th birthday.

On February 9 the President’s Band of the Service of Moscow Kremlin’s Commandant of the Federal Guard Service of the Russian Federation will present its Musical Journey around the World program onstage of the Rachmaninov Concert Hall (Philarmonia-2).

The Exemplary Band of the National Guard Forces of the Russian Federation is currently on tour in Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region staging concerts dedicated to the seventy-fifth anniversary of the break of the siege of Leningrad.
