August 17 at 4 pm Moscow’s Alexander Garden will welcome the last concert of the 2019 run of the Military Bands in the City Parks, a very special program that for the fourth year in a row is being carried out by the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival with the support of the Russian Ministry of Defense and Moscow’s Department of Culture.
As many as three military music ensembles, all permanent participants of the Spasskaya Tower Festival, will perform right beneath the Kremlin walls near the Italian Grotto. The closing ceremony will also see the participation of several guests of honor featuring Mr. Sergey Smirnov, Head of the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo, Major General Timofey Mayakin, Head of the Military Bands Music Service of the Russian Armed Forces — Chief Military Conductor, and Mr. Alexander Kibovskiy, Head of the Moscow’s Department of Culture.
This year the Military Bands in the City Parks kicked off on May 18 right here, in the Alexander Garden.
