The Exemplary Band of the National Guard Forces of Russia Will Travel to Cyprus to Participate in the Celebrations of the 74^th Anniversary of Victory

May 4–10, 2019 several largest cities of Cyprus will host celebrations dedicated to the 74^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. By tradition, these are organized by Russian compatriots and local NGOs, with the Russian foreign mission giving them the needed support.

This year the responsibility for the festive mood will lay on the Exemplary Band of the National Guard Forces of Russia. Headed by Vladimir Vasyak, Head of the Military Music Service and Chief Conductor of the Federal Service of the National Guard Forces of the Russian Federation, they will purposefully travel to Cyprus and stage several beautiful concerts taking away the breath of the local audiences. These will feature participation both of the Cypriot and Russian artists performing war-years songs as well as popular compositions.

The band will also take part in the Immortal Regiment marching organized and attended by numerous representatives of the Russian compatriots’ society of Cyprus.
