An exciting spring/summer season full of beautiful music is ahead of all the Muscovites and guests of the capital, ready to present them with concerts by the best military bands onstage of Moscow’s parks and gardens.
The Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival and the Department of Culture of the City of Moscow has confirmed the dates of this year’s Military Bands in the Parks project.
Supported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia and the Government of Moscow the Spasskaya Tower Festival Directorate pursues their activities to revive performances by military bands in the city’s parks and gardens that used to be one of the most elegant traditions of the past.
As a matter of good tradition, the first concert of the season is taking place at the Alexander Garden on May 18. Then every Saturday from May till August military bands will continue performing at some of the best and most visited spots of Moscow for the delight of Muscovites and guests of the capital.
The first ever open performance of the kind in the history of the Spasskaya Tower Festival took place in 2016 on site of VDNH. The initiative was such a success that it was decided to go ahead and enlarge it in the following anniversary year. Since then the number of concerts and stages featured in the project has been steadily growing.
Throughout last summer sounds of beautiful music performed by the most talented military musicians from the Russian Ministry of Defense, Emergencies Ministry and National Guard, all participants of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo, were filling the atmosphere of the city parks.
This year fourteen Moscow parks and gardens will become part of the project. The Military Bands in the Parks will be adjourned on August 17 at the Alexander Garden forestalling ten splendid evening shows of the amazing Spasskaya Tower Festival, held on Red Square from August 23 to September 1, 2019.
