The Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Will Perform in the Park Uniting Past and Future

Go back

August 11 the marathon baton of the Military Bands in the Parks program is going to be passed to Zaryadye Park, one of the most unique and greenest pieces of nature in the capital.

Zaryadye is not just a park. It’s a new type of urban space created by an international team of architects, engineers, landscape designers and other specialists. Here nature and technologies, education and entertainment meet together and complement each other.

The eye of a visitor is immediately caught by the so called floating bridge stretching over the Moscow River. Right next to this unique architectural construction the Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, one of the best artistic groups of the world, will hold its performance onstage of the Great Amphitheater at 5 p.m. this Saturday. It is going to be one of the last concerts held within the Military Bands in the Parks program of the season 2018 which for the third year in a row is being organized by the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Government of Moscow.

Musicians preferred not to disclose their program for the forthcoming concert, noticing only that it will feature compositions that should be regarded as a kind of Hello form the Hamina Tattoo International Military Music Festival to the residents of the Russian capital. Let’s remind, that just several days ago the Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation returned from Finland where it had participated in one of the most famous military tattoos of the world. The band not only conquered the hearts of the Finnish audience but also took part in a music battle with its colleagues from Great Britain which ended up in the joint performance of the Russian song «Katusha», popular among many people.

One of the primary tasks of organizing concerts in Moscow’s public parks and gardens is reviving the beautiful and romantic tradition featuring military bands performances onstage of the city open venues as well as introducing to the Muscovites and guests of the capital unique military bands of Russia.

The 2018 summer music marathon is going to end August 18 in the Alexander Garden forestalling ten spectacular evening shows of the remarkable Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival which is going to be held on Red Square from August 24 to September 2, 2018.

The concert in Zaryadye Park is going to be held on August 11 beginning at 5 p.m. Entrance is free (0+).
