Mr Yuriy Markholia, Stage Director of the Festival, revealed the artistic conception of the thirteenth Spasskaya Tower military tattoo.
«We’ll depict the lyrical image of a soldier waiting for peace to settle in, longing for love and happiness, missing his family and friends. Thus, the general music conception should be lyrical», pointed Yuriy Markholia. «As far as the lack of foreign participants is concerned, I may assure you that this year’s production will be as saturated and remarkable as usual. There is a popular Russian saying „whatever happens, it happens for the good“. Throughout all these years we’ve had a cumbersome task to skillfully manage the timing of the show to give everybody a fair amount of performance time. Welcoming more than ten countries every year, not all Russian groups had a chance to stage individual performances. This year the audiences of the Festival will have a unique opportunity to witness some of the best artistic ensembles from all over the country performing on Red Square. And believe me these people have enough talent and skills to make this Festival as magnificent, as breathtaking and as great as ever».
