In December, from 5 to 9, the Exemplary Band of the National Guard Forces of the Russian Federation, one of the permanent participants of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, will be touring the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
This visit is dedicated to the celebrations of the Year of Russia in Vietnam.
On December 6, the prominent military band will stage a concert in the Vietnam National Academy of Music, while on December 8 they will perform in the Quảng Ninh province. Besides, the Exemplary Band will meet with the representatives of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Composer Union as well as heads of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Department of the Quảng Ninh Province People’s Committee to share knowledge and experience.
This time the band’s concert repertoire will be very intense and feature not only famous Russian compositions such Tchaikovsky’s Solemn March and Russian Dance, Blanter’s Katusha and
The concert tour will also feature performances by famous Russian and Vietnamese soloists including Pham Hong Kha, a very popular singer in Vietnam.
It’s interesting to note that at the beginning of every concert the Exemplary Band of the Russian National Guard Forces will perform national anthems of Russia and Vietnam.
