It’s not for the first time in its history which dates back to the 18th century that the park will welcome the sounds of wind music. Over the years of the Golytsins ownership the music pavilion often hosted balls and music soirees. Like several centuries before this Saturday guests of the museum preserve will enjoy themselves in the obscurity of the park lanes and gardens listening to Russian and foreign classical music pieces as well as modern popular compositions. And of course it is hard to imagine the forthcoming concert without songs about the sea and the Russian Navy.
This is the third summer in a row that Moscow’s parks and gardens are being filled with the sounds of music performed by military bands. From May till August like a music marathon concert programs are running across the greenest and coziest venues of the capital.
The concert in Kuzminki Park will last about an hour and the entrance is free (0+).
This year thirteen Moscow’s parks and gardens are taking part in the “Military Bands in the Parks” program. Bands’ performances are beautifully decorated with dancing pairs, participants of the Moscow Longevity program. Another peculiarity of this year’s “Military Bands in the Parks” program is the participation of volunteers from Park Novoslobodskiy Cultural Center.
The concert cycle is going to be adjourned August 18 in the Alexander Garden forestalling ten remarkable evening shows of the vibrant Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival which is going to be held on Red Square from August 24 to September 2.
