Following orders of the Russian President Vladimir Putin the Twelfth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival is going to be held from August 23 to September 1, 2019 on Red Square, the very heart of Moscow.
The Directorate of the Festival has already received applications forwarded by military bands and artistic groups of more than twenty countries all over the globe, including Europe.
Not only Red Square will welcome Russian and foreign artists. They will also perform onstage of various open city venues featuring Moscow’s railway stations, parks and gardens. As a matter of good tradition all the Festival’s future participants will as well march along the lanes of VDNH.

The 2018 Spasskaya Tower Festival featured participation of twenty two bands, two honor guard units and two dancing ensembles. Representatives of Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Myanmar, Holland, Oman, Switzerland, Sri Lanka as well as International Celtic Pipes and Drums and International Irish Dance Team, all in all about 1500 artists, stepped onto the cobblestone of Red Square along Russian military musicians. More than 100 music compositions performed by 767 and 157 wind and percussion instruments, respectively, filled the air of this year’s evening shows.
The audiences of this year’s Festival night shows alone scored more than 90,000 people. All in all more than 500, 000 of Muscovites and guests of the capital attended events executed by the Spasskaya Tower Festival’s Directorate. Thus, the overall audience coverage of the project featuring the media campaign, Internet and TV broadcasts totaled in more than 550 millions of people all over the world.
