The Band of the Moscow Military Music College named after Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov

The college was established 81 years ago. It is not just one of the oldest military music educational institutions of Russia but one of the most famous as well. A plethora of generations of well-known Russian music representatives were brought up here. Today some of its graduates are successfully in charge of various military bands of the Russian Armed Forces. Others are among members of the leading music ensembles of the country, for example the Band of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, National Symphonic Band, Moscow Philarmonia Symphonic Band and others. Full of dignity the present generation of the Suvorov cadets carries on the traditions of their predecessors. The actual band has already taken part in some of the best international contests and toured various countries of Europe.
