Permanent participants and main headliners of the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” the Band of the Moscow Military Music College named after Lieutenant General Valery M. Khalilov will perform June 1 on Komsomol’skaya Square celebrating the International Children’s Day.
Young musicians are much admired by the audience. They always participate in important state events, military ceremonies and international military music festivals. Since 1940 each military parade on Red square has been opened by the drummers of the college. Many of the college graduates — the number of whom exceeds three thousands musicians — have become famous conductors, musicians and teachers.
Performance given by the fourth year band and legendary drummers group led by the laureate of many domestic and international contests conductor of the Moscow Military Music College named after Lieutenant General Valery M. Khalilov Igor Andrushin is going to start at 11 a.m. near the central entrance to Kazanskiy railway terminal.
Students of the military music college with their distinct drive and brilliant skills arousing the audience’s amusement will perform popular melodies — from classical to jazz compositions.
It’s worth noticing that military bands have performed at Moscow’s railway terminals for three years in a row now. The concerts are organized by the Directorate of the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” and the permanent partner of the Festival OAO “RZD”.
