This Saturday, June 2, the Band of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation staged a very successful performance in the Muzeon Park on Krymskaya embankment near the so called dry fountain. The concert was given within the «Military Bands in the Parks» program being carried out by the “Spasskaya Tower” Festival Directorate together with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Government of Moscow
The Muscovites and guests of the capital gave a very warm and enthusiastic welcome to one of the leading artistic groups of the Military Music Service of the Russian Armed Forces. Dancing pairs were waltzing around and viewers were singing along popular melodies dear to everyone’s hearts.
Today the band with dignity and honor retains and augments the glorious traditions of 80 years of the bands artistic activities. The group annually participates in the military parades on Red Square dedicated to the Victory day in the Great Patriotic War and to the legendary parade, dedicated to the 7th of November 1941.
The band musicians always master their level of performance, update their musical repertoire and carry on large artistic activities as well as stage performances on the central venues of Moscow such as the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Central Academic Theatre of the Russian Army, cultural center of the Air Force of the Russian Federation.
A pleasant surprise awaits admirers of the Band’s work. Residents and guests of the capital will have an opportunity to once again listen to the performance of the Band of the Military University next Saturday, June 9, in Sokol’niki Park.
