July 8: the Kremlin Equestrian School performed at the “Moscow Family” Festival

On the 8^th of July Russia celebrated the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty.

The central venue of commemoration in Moscow traditionally has become the Culture preserve “Tsaritsino”. This year the park has hosted the Festival titled “Moscow Family”.

Within the cooperation framework with the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow the Kremlin Equestrian School presented at the Festival a new program especially prepared for the celebrations of the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty.

On the horse riding arena of “Tsaritsino” culture preserve the cavaliers showed traditional blocks of their show which are well-known and really popular among viewers, including horse parades “in the upright position” and “standing on pairs” as well as the art of flanking and dealing with horses “at liberty”.

Besides, the program included demonstration of elements of the Kremlin Equestrian School’ riding skills prepared under the guidance of Raisa Shanina, representative of a well-known circus dynasty and head of the riding teams of the Russian State Circus (Rosgostsirk).

With the same enthusiasm viewers welcomed the performance of Ivan, one of the members of the Kremlin Equestrian School team, and his daughter Diana who demonstrated her flanking skills.
The show was followed by a master class for children teaching them elementary skills of riding a pony. During the master class anyone could get to know more about the world of horses and learn how to sit in the saddle correctly.
