On the 7th of July, on the eve of the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty Babushkinskiy Park of Culture and Recreation hosted a special concert where the Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry took part.
One of the most remarkable and vibrant bands performed within the “Military Bands in the Parks” program which for the third year in a row is being organized by the Directorate of the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Russian Emergencies Ministry and Government of Moscow.
It’s worth noticing that the red line running along the whole meeting between the musician and their viewers was “Love” and relations between the loving hearts. For more than an hour musicians amused the viewers with the diversity of their repertoire and brilliant professional skills, performing classical compositions by Schubert and Kalman as well as the hits of the 90s, Rock and modern days’ popular songs.
At the very beginning of the concert the host asked the viewers to feel free in expressing their emotions, dance and award the band with applause as well as join the leading singer of the band Evgeniy Balashov on the ferris wheel.
Then accompanied by enthusiastic applause of the viewers the main stage of the park saw the unfolding of a real music marathon including the vibrant and passionate family drama during the song “240 Times”, love story from the composition “Pust’ Vse Budet Tak Kak Ti Zahochesh” (“Let Everything Be as You Whish”) performed by Alexander Zhukov, as well as profound and sincere song by Victor Tsoy “Kukushka” (“The Cuckoo”) performed by the leading singer of the band Nadezhda Koroleva.
The evening was full of surprises. Many were amazed to hear one of the “Nirvana” rock group hits performed by the violin players of the band. The participant of the TV show “Voice” Aurika Mgoi sang the songs “We Burn Ourselves” and “We Are Millions”.

The role of a “bad guy” was performed by Alexander Vasil’ev who nevertheless “being late for the beginning of the concert” conquered the viewers with his magnificent xylophone skills. Of course, the FIFA World Cup subject wasn’t left out that day. Viewers with great enthusiasm and a swirl of applause growing into a real storm welcomed the song performed by Alexander Zhukov “Russia, Come On” which was to adjourn the concert.

Let us remind that the Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry actively performs not only at the leading venues of the capital including the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and State Kremlin Palace but in the city’s parks and gardens as well. It’s worth noticing that this year each concert of the “Military Bands in the Parks” program is being held with the assistance of volunteers from the Moscow’s Cultural Center “Park Novoslobodskiy”.
