Venova and Drum Classes Were Held for the Young Visitors of the Spasskaya Tower

Day of Music has been celebrated today onsite the Children Playground on Red Square. 

The celebration began with the young drummers’ show of the March Artistic Association (School N. 1534, Moscow). Then Sergey Voronov, professional musician and international contests laureate, held a Venova master class. 

Sergey Voronov explained that Venova was a new music instrument invented by the Yamaha Company. According to him, Venova resembles a flute and is made of plastics in accordance with the most advanced technologies. “Unlike flute that costs about one 100k rubles, Venova is more affordable”, told the musician.   

Then boys and girls who attended the master class participated in a contest where they had to play a sound with Venova as long as possible. The winner was awarded the instrument. 

Another master class allowed children acquiring the skills of a percussion player. It was held by Georgiy Pasnov, Head of the Rhythmy Stiсks Drummers Band. The master class was followed by a drum flash mob featuring participation of the newly sprung musicians under the lead of Georgiy Pasnov.

Sergey Makarov, anchor the Russkoye Radio station, offered the guests of the Children Playground take part in a quiz game in which one had to guess the song on listening the first notes. Winners were awarded T-shirts the radio station print on them. 

The second part of the Day of Music celebrations featured performances of the Spasskaya Tower Festival participants. Onsite the Children Playground performed the International Irish Dance Team, Brentwood Imperial Youth Band (Great Britain), Crescendo Bicycle Showband (the Netherlands) and Military Band of the Royal Guard of Oman. 

Up
