Moscow’s Gorky Park to Welcome the Grand Finale of the Military Bands in the City Parks Project

Go back

The ninth season of the Military Bands in the City Parks is almost over. This Saturday, September 20, Moscow’s Gorky Park will welcome the final concert of the 2025 project edition. Wrapping up the project will be the Cadet Band of the Prince Alexander Nevsky Military University of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

Throughout the summer guests and residents of Russia’s capital have had a chance to enjoy gorgeous wind music performed by the leading music ensembles of the country’s military and law enforcement, with Moscow’s parks and public gardens welcoming over 20 concerts. This year the Cadet Band of the Prince Alexander Nevsky Military University of the Russian Ministry of Defence has the honor to solemnly wrap up the season.

Hence, get ready to boogie as the musicians are committed to wow the audiences with the most popular hits, and evoke a wave of nostalgia with some of the public’s most beloved songs. Led by Major Anton Malyutin, Conductor of the Band, the ensemble will present their rendition of a plethora of national and foreign compositions, as well as classics reimagined with a military twist.

We are looking forward to meeting you all this Saturday, September 20, at 4 pm (16:00) in Moscow’s Gorkiy Park. Join us and spend this beautiful autumn weekend with some of the best music teams in the country. Entrance is free.

With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Moscow’s Mayor Office, the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, featuring military bands performing in parks and public gardens of Moscow. Last year the program was taken as far as Saint Petersburg, and now it has reached the City of Pskov. The project is a series of concerts staged by some of the best bands representing Russia’s military and law enforcement agencies.
