Go back

This Saturday, September 20, the Military Bands in the City Parks, Saint Petersburg edition, is inviting everyone to visit the city’s Yuzhno-Primorsky Park for an unforgettable musical experience. The Military Band of the Military Institute of the Railway Forces and Military Communications will take you on an intriguing journey through some of the best-loved tunes from the last decades.

Part of the A.v. Khrulev Military Academy of Logistical Support, the ensemble has prepared a special performance aimed at proving that military musicians can really step out of the box. Military marches and flowy waltzes, popular songs and all-time hits will flow over the lanes of the Yuzhno-Primorsky Park.

Today musicians are actively engaged in various cultural events and music contests held in the city of Saint Petersburg. They regularly take part in military parades celebrating the Great Patriotic Victory on Saint Petersburg Palace Square and annually paying tribute to the superb Russian Navy.

Thus, Join us this Saturday, September 20, at 12 am in Saint Petersburg Yuzhno-Primorsky Park and enjoy another beautiful music weekend in the city. Entrance is free.

With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense and Moscow’s Mayor Office, the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, featuring military bands performing in parks and public gardens. Last year the program was taken as far as Saint Petersburg, and now it has reached the City of Pskov. The project is a series of concerts staged by some of the best bands representing Russia’s military and law enforcement agencies.
