As we quickly approach the Seventeenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, we’d like to introduce you to another participant of this year’s run. Please meet the Central Military Band of the National Military and Patriotic Center of the Kazakhstan Armed Forces and accompanying Honor Guard Unit of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Defense. Our guests from Kazakhstan will arrive in Moscow determined to captivate the audiences with their outstanding professional skills and a breathtaking music performance. Classical and contemporary compositions, as well as songs that pay homage to the Country of the Great Prairie will be performed by the artists on the cobblestones of Red Square, accompanied by a dance team and folk band.
The leading artistic team of the Kazakhstan Armed Forces was formed in 1995. Along its artistic path, the band has been wowing the audiences with its amazing music skills, precise drills, and unwavering discipline.
The ensemble’s scope of responsibilities is substantially broad. Musicians regularly travel overseas to perform in front of foreign audiences, even though its primary focus is on covering solemn military rituals and a variety of public cultural and sporting events in the country. While always being an indispensable part of the country’s military, the band has evolved to become the symbol of the country’s culture and identity. Some of Kazakhstan’s most talented contemporary composers and soloists have the privilege of collaborating with the military musicians.
Russia, China, Germany and Great Britain have already heard some of the incredible music tales that these Kazakh musicians have to share. When participating in the Lord Mayor’s Show International Tattoo in Great Britain, the Central Military Band of the Kazakhstan Armed Forces won the award for the best military ensemble.
