This Saturday, August 2, the Military Bands in the City Parks will pop into Moscow’s Red Presnya Park to celebrate the VDV Airborne Forces Day. Hence, we are looking forward to meeting everyone to enjoy the Military Band of the 1st Separate Semyonovsky Regiment, whose musicians have put together a special program paying tribute to the glorious and valiant Russian elite paratroopers.
Sounds of brave marches, and vibrant popular songs will be flying all over the Red Presnya park lanes. Moreover, musicians will wow the audiences with an authentic medley composed of songs about the tenacity and wild spirit of the VDV Forces.
The Military Band of the 1st Separate Semyonovsky Regiment was founded in 1996. The ensemble’s repertoire is huge. Performing both military and wind classical compositions, musicians always seek stepping out of the box and enriching their artistic record with modern popular hits from home and abroad. Musicians have the honor to annually take part in the Great Victory Parade on Red Square as part of the combined band. For their excellence they have been granted numerous awards as well as the audience’s sympathy.
Hence, we are looking forward to meeting you all this Saturday, August 2, at 4 pm (16:00) in Moscow’s Red Presnya Park and witnessing what the Military Band of the 1st Separate Semyonovsky Regiment have best to offer. Entrance is free.
With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past featuring military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic open air sites of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and now the City of Pskov as well. The project, in essence, is a series of concerts staged by bands representing Russia’s military and law enforcement agencies, paving the way for the main events of the Spasskaya Tower Festival.
In 2025, Moscow will welcome the seventeenth run of the Festival that will unfold on Red Square between August 22 and 31. Bringing together over 1500 artists from all corners of the globe, the Festival will honor the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and pay tribute to all those valiantly defending their nations.
