Celebrating Russia’s National Day in Moscow’s Kuzminki Park with the Band of the Moscow Higher Military Command College

Go back

This Wednesday, June 12, the Band of the Moscow Higher Military Command College staged a concert in Moscow’s Kuzminki Park to celebrate Russia’s national Day. The musicians treated all their guests to some quality music, stirring up positive vibes and providing for a very special atmosphere.
Even though the weather was unpredictable, the Military Bands in the City Parks has again drawn a lot of attention from people who love the project and those just strolling along the park. To celebrate the Day of Russia, musicians have put together a remarkable program full of vim and vigor.

To start, the upbeat and inviting sounds of popular Moscow songs got everyone moving, followed by a plethora of songs from the war years that hold great significance to Russians. The band wrapped up their performance with a masterful rendition of Soviet movie soundtracks, delighting everyone, from kids to adults.

With music and dancing, the concert, as usual, was a huge success.

“We’d like to thank all the guests who came today despite the weather forecast and spent this very special day with us. As military artists we are used to performing in all weather conditions, and regardless of the circumstances. We are pleased to see that our audiences are as enduring, staunch, and loyal as we are”, noted Major Ivan Krasnetsky, Head of the Band.

With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Organizing Committee of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in parks and gardens, streets and alleys, and other iconic spots in Moscow and its environs.

Throughout the summer, enchanting wind melodies will engulf parks and gardens in Moscow and its environs, paving the way for the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo that will unfold on Red Square from August 23 to September 1.
