Some of the Best Artistic Ensembles of the Russian MoD Will Become Part of the Spasskaya Tower Festival Anniversary Run

Leading bands of the Russian Ministry of Defense will present their concert programs at the fifteenth anniversary run of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, which this year will unfold on Moscow’s Red Square from August 26 to September 4.

Over 700 military musicians will guide you through the gleaming world of music and thrilling shows taking place beneath the centuries-old walls of the Moscow Kremlin. The sounds of military marches and graceful waltzes, national compositions and popular musical hits will flow all over Red Square, with eleven military bands of the Russian Ministry of Defense staging marching defiles, dancing shows and arms drilling performances.

This year, the breathtaking atmosphere of our unique music celebration will be carefully crafted by the Central Military Band of the Russian MoD, the Central Band of the Russian Navy n.a. Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, the Exemplary Military Band of the Honor Guard, the Military Band of the 154th Preobrazhensky Regiment together with its Honor Guard Unit, as well as the Combined Band of the Russian Airborne Forces accompanied by the Song and Dance Company of the Russian Airborne Forces and the Honor Guard Unit of the Ryazan Airborne Command Higher School named after Army General Margelov.

Besides the old guard, the cobblestones of Red Square will be hit by our young and very talented ensembles representing the Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov Moscow Military Music College and Russian MoD All-Girls Boarding School, who have already become our audience’s favourites.
