This Saturday, August 31, foreign and Russian ensembles, taking part in the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, showcased a gasp-inducing display beneath the walls of the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces. The new venue allowed the organizers to make changes in the show program, making it more spectacular. The highlight of the day became the performance of the Police Combined Band of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

 This Sunday, September 1, Moscow’s Red Square will host the daytime show of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo. The participants and organizers are looking forward to meeting all the guests, especially the young ones. Just in a few days, on September 2, they will be back in schools, so we suggest spending this last summer weekend enjoying great music, vivid dances and songs from all over the globe.

Over the span of sixteen years the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival has been awarding a unique opportunity to enjoy extra quality music performed by some of the best homegrown and foreign artists. Unfolding on Moscow’s Red Square, this magnificent celebration of music and light is a means to discover the world’s cultures diversity as well as to preserve Russia’s national history, artistic heritage, and its most relevant traditions.

This Saturday, August 31, foreign and Russian ensembles, taking part in the Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival, will showcase a gasp-inducing display beneath the walls of the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces. The daytime show will be held both for the Russian Armed Forces military personnel and their families as well as guests of the Museum and Cathedral Complex of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo is all about preserving its long-standing traditions, like the combined performance of the young talented students of the Moscow Military Music College named after Lieutenant General Valery Khalilov and the All-Girls Boarding School of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The musical fairytale, inspired by the Russian ballet masterpiece, The Nutcracker, and some world-famous opera classics, captured the crowds’ attention.

This Wednesday, August 28, Moscow’s Red Square hosted the last day of the eighth Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival. Ensembles from Moscow and the Belgorod region had an important mission of wrapping up the amazing three-days celebration of talent and youth. The event featured prize-winners of the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Contest and was carried out within the Festival’s main program with the unwavering support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

The Sixteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo brings together peoples and continents. Artists and musicians from across the globe tell their beautiful stories paying homage to the glory of their countries and valiant attitude of the people.

The second day of the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival commenced on Red Square on Tuesday, August 27. With the long-standing support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the event welcomed young musicians from Belgorod, Luhansk People's Republic, Moscow and Saratov.

The Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo is a global artistic forum that brings together people and artists on a local, national, and international scale. Two ensembles representing one of the most fascinating cities of Russia, Saint Petersburg, are hitting the cobblestones of Red Square this year. The Admiralty Band of the Leningrad Naval Base and the 23d Military Band of the Leningrad Military District are determined to prove that the city is a northern jewel on the Neva river. 

This year the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo welcomes back the Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival. Up to August 28, some of the best young musicians of Russia will have the honor to perform on Red Square beneath the walls of the Moscow Kremlin.

This Sunday, August 25, Moscow’s parks and gardens could do nothing but surrender to the captivating sounds of music and vivid dancing pas performed by the foreign participants of the 2024 Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival. Ensembles from Belarus, Guinea, Venezuela, Egypt, China, Thailand, Turkey and South Africa infused the day with a boost of energy and pure joy.
