From 26 to 28 May in the Alexandrovsky Garden of the Moscow Kremlin will be a review of children’s brass bands of the Central Federal District in the framework of the festival program “The Spassky Tower for Children”.
The review of children’s groups is aimed at the development of brass music and orchestral performance in Russia, their popularization among the younger generation and is very symbolic that it will be held on the eve of the Children’s Day. The initiator and organizer of the event is the International Cultural Center “Spasskaya Tower” in association with the Association “Spirit Society” with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Roskontsert.
In the Italian grotto of the Alexander Garden, 40 children’s brass bands from Kaluga, Tver, Tula, Vladimir, Bryansk, Ryazan, Oryol and Yaroslavl regions, as well as Moscow and the Moscow region, will demonstrate their musical talents. Within three days the creative achievements and skills of young musicians will be evaluated by a professional jury consisting of prominent figures in the field of wind and orchestral performance. The winners will be given the right to perform in August on Red Square at the Festival of Children’s Wind Brasses as part of the main military musical event of the country — the Festival “Spasskaya Tower”. The rest of the participants will be awarded honorary diplomas.
