The 2nd Festival Parade of Wind Bands “The First Firework of Victory” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Kursk battle and the biggest tank battle near Prokhorovskaya is going to be held in Belgorod and the Belgorod region from the 12th to the 14th of July.
The “hallmark” of the “Spasskaya Tower” Festival the Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will take part in this patriotic campaign.

For three days the bands under direction of the Head of the Military Band Service of the Russian Armed Forces leading military conductor Colonel Timofey Mayakin are going to hold several marching parades and stage concerts in Belgorod and different districts of the Belgorod region.
“The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation via the Military Band Service of the Russian Armed Forces was glad to entertain the suggestion of Belgorod residents to organize and held the Festival Parade of Wind Bands dedicated to these two legendary events that had left indelible imprint in the history of the Great Patriotic War and our country. Hundreds of thousands of Red Army soldiers gave their lives for the peaceful world. Heroism of the Soviet soldiers turned the tide of the II World War and Great Patriotic War — after the Kursk battle the strategic initiative completely passed to the Red Army. Such military patriotic campaigns do not only allow us remembering and cherishing the act of bravery of our predecessors but also drawing attention of the young and growing up generations”, noted Timofey Mayakin.
The Festival is going to open on the 12th of July with the marching parade of wind bands within the festival “The Third Battlefield of Russia”.
