The Kremlin Equestrian School is to Take Part in Victory Day Celebrations

May 8, 2018 on the eve of celebrating Victory Day a traditional performance carried out by the permanent participants of the International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” the Kremlin Equestrian School and Cavalry Escort of the Presidential Regiment will be held on Poklonnaya hill.

At 16:50 Cavalry parade of Victory will walk down the Alley of Peace and include the Kremlin Equestrian School cavaliers dressed in the historic uniform of the Kuban Cossacks Regiment, Cavalry Escort of the Presidential Regiment cavaliers dressed in the uniform of the cavaliers of the Great Patriotic War time and members of the Children group of cavalry ceremonial of the Kremlin Equestrian School dressed in the parade uniform of the Leib Guards of the Dragoon Regiment.

Following the parade there will be an exhibition performance on the Entrance square of the park where at 17:00 the Kremlin Equestrian School cavaliers will stage their performance. The main themes of the performance are the flag parade of the hero-cities and the history of military cavalry. Also visitors will get acquainted with the art of flanking (possession of the traditional cold combat weapons) and elements of applied military types of equestrian sports.
The Cavalry Escort of the Presidential Regiment cavaliers and Children group of cavalry ceremonial of the Kremlin Equestrian School will introduce the visitors to the equestrian ceremonial.

Events are sponsored by the Department of Culture of Moscow and Administration of the Victory Park on Poklonnaya hill.
