Today, on the January the 30th, lieutenant general Valery Khalilov, the first and only Music Director of the Spasskaya Tower Festival , People’s Artists of Russia, would celebrate his 66th birthday.
To celebrate the memory of their great leader and teacher, his favorite music band, the Central Military Band of the Russian Federation, performed at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire.
First part of the concert saw the favorite classical music pieces of General Khalilov, welcomed enthusiastically by the public, while after the intermission the audience enjoyed marches, Russian romantic songs and other great pieces for wind bands, composed by Valery Khalilov himself.
That night, under the vaults of the Moscow Conservatoire, everything brought back memories of the great conductor and acclaimed composer, Valery Mikhailovich Khalilov.
Once again, Maestro stepped onto the stage.
