May 11 Moscow is once again hosting qualifications for the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Brass Bands Festival. The
The Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival has been holding the Children and Youth Brass Bands Festival (further on the Festival) since 2013. The Festival is being organized within the Spasskaya Tower for Children project that every year is being enlarged both in its territorial scope as well as in the number of participants. One of the tasks set by the organizers is searching for talented young musician and offering them support thus providing favorable environment for their further cultural development.
The Children and Youth Wind Bands Contest of the Spasskaya Tower for Children project is a qualification round for the Festival. For the first time it was held in 2017 in the Alexander Garden along with the performance of the newly formed Combined Children Wind Band, another premier of that year’s festival season. Led by Colonel Evgeniy Nikitin, conductor of the President’s Band and Honored Artist of Russia, it performed popular songs and melodies right near the Kremlin walls.
In 2018 the contest was granted the support of the Mayor and Government of Moscow. Last year it was held onstage of the Zaryadye Park Large Amphitheater. The new venue allowed for turning this music celebration into a much more exciting and interesting event both for its participants and audiences.
And now the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower Festival is once again inviting the most talented and creative representatives of the Central Federal District to take part in the Third Children and Youth Wind Bands Contest. Those passing through the qualifications will be granted the opportunity to become part of the Seventh Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Brass Bands Festival, held from 23 to 25 of August 2019 onstage of the Children Playground of the Twelfth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival on Red Square.
To become participant of the qualification round of the Festival (for representatives of the Central Federal District) it is required to get acquainted with the Provisions and forward to the email@example.com an application form (marked the Third Children and Youth Wind Bands Contest). Applications are to be submitted by April 1, 2019.
