Bad Weather is not an Obstacle: Military Music Thundered in Moscow’s Hermitage Garden

Gloomy and rainy weather settled in Moscow. But it is not an obstacle when a military band concert is on the way, as military musicians can perform no matter where and when. Thus, this Saturday, June 29, Moscow’s Hermitage Garden hosted the Military Band of the Twenty-Seventh Guard Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade of Sevastopol and Red Banner Order under the lead of Guards Lieutenant Alexey Bojedomov, Head of the Band and Military Conductor.

It was another concert held within the 2019 Military Bands in the City Parks, a series of performances carried out by the Directorate of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo with the support of the Russian Ministry of Defense and Moscow’s Department of Culture.

Military marches, flowing waltzes, perky polkas, popular Soviet songs and compositions, mambo, rock-n-roll and jazz filled the air of the park cheering up the audience. Bad mood vanished, giving place to dancing, singing and positive emotions.

The world famous Agapkin’s Farewell of Slavianka crowned the Saturday’s concert. It was performed to the sounds of thundering ovations, the best reward for any artist.
