On June 3, the Military Orchestra of the Military University of the Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation performed in the Red Square. The concert in the heart of the Russian capital continued the program of Military Orchestras in Parks.
This bright event, organized by the International Military Music Festival Spasskaya Tower and State Historical Museum, raised the mood of the audience to an unprecedented level, once again giving people a holiday. «The wind music performed by one of Russia’s best military orchestras here, near the walls of the Intercession Cathedral, will undoubtedly allow spectators to rediscover the beauty of the Red Square and Kremlin, as well as feel the spirit of history," said Maria Lemigova, Head of the PR Department of the State Historical Museum. «The story told in the language of military music allows us preserving traditions and multiplying pride for our Motherland.»
Dozens of people of different ages gathered at the monument to Minin and Pozharsky to watch the performance. Everyone enjoyed the music performed by the Military Band without exception.
«It is a great honor to perform in the heart of our country," said conductor of the Military Orchestra of the Military University of the RF Defence Ministry, Major of Internal Troops Philipp Samonin. «This is a landmark place with a great history. It is here where the Spasskaya Tower Festival will be held this year for the tenth time.»
