Join Us at another Military Bands in the City Parks Weekend

This weekend, June 21 and 22, both loyal friends of the project and admirers of good wind music will have an encounter with some of the best music ensembles of the Russian Armed Forces. On Saturday, the Central Band of the Border Guard Service of Russia is looking forward to meeting you in Fili Park. On Sunday, we invite everyone to Moscow’s Birulevo Park to enjoy some of the most beautiful war-year songs performed by the Exemplary Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Formed back in 1978, currently the Central Band of the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation is one of the leading music ensembles in the country. Though primarily engaged in activities carried out by the Russian Federal Security Service and in supporting military ceremonies, the band also takes part in various social and cultural events both nationally and internationally.

Some of the best pieces of Russian and foreign classical music and choreography make part of the band’s versatile repertoire. But this Saturday musicians have decided to focus on the most sublime war-years songs and compositions that for sure echo in the heart of every Russian citizen and family. Come to Fili Park with us at 4 pm (16:00) and enjoy some of the greatest music hits performed by the professionals.

Moving on, we suggest spending your beautiful summer Sunday in Moscow’s Birulevo Park of Nature. At 4 pm (16:00) come and enjoy the Exemplary Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. Established in 1995, the ensemble is widely engaged in the country’s most significant cultural events, and performs onstage at the capital’s leading concert venues.

Sticking to their artistry underlying principles backed with great professional skills, the Russian Emergencies Ministry musicians have prepared an amazing program filling it with renowned classics and popular hits.

With the ongoing support of the Russian Ministry of Defense and Moscow’s Government Department of Culture, the Organizing Committee of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Tattoo continues its efforts to revive one of the most charming traditions of the past, with military bands performing in the city parks and gardens, streets and alleys. Throughout the summer, enchanting wind melodies will engulf some of the best open air venues in Moscow and its environs.
