New weekend and four new participants of the eighth season of the Military Bands in the City Parks project are looking forward to meeting all the guests and residents of Moscow.

The new music weekend will start on Saturday, June 8, at noon (12 am sharp) in Moscow’s Olympic Village Park with the performance of the Combined Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. The ensemble’s artistic path is closely related to the Ministry’s activities and aimed at shaping a careful and respectful attitude towards Russian arts, history, traditions and culture. Sticking to their artistry underlying principles, the band has prepared an amazing program full of surprises. Take a chance and enjoy classical, military, folk and popular music pieces performed by one of the best music ensembles of Russia.

Carrying on, the same day the Military Bands in the City Parks once again invites you to listen to some good music. It’s now the turn of the Krasnaya (Red) Presnya Park to host the gorgeous Central Band of the Russian Navy named after Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, regarded to be the marine’s pride and glory. Today, the Central Band of the Russian Navy is one of the best military artistic associations of the Russian Armed Forces, and is acknowledged both in the country and abroad. The band never misses a single Victory Day Parade on Red Square as well as the Main Naval Parade in St Petersburg. Thus, we are looking forward to meeting you at 5pm (17:00) onsite the park’s main stage and treating you to the world’s best music hits.

The music marathon continues spanning over Sunday, June 9. At noon do visit the Vorontsovo Mansion Park and enjoy the charming performance by the Military Band of the 27th Sevastopol Motorized Rifle Brigade. Sounds of brave military marches, flowy waltzes and vibrant popular songs will be flying all over the park’s shadow lanes.

Finally, we will be reaching the last location of the weekend, the Izmailovo Park. Onsite the main stage you will meet the Central Band of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. Making their debut at the Military Bands in the City Parks project, the ensemble’s musicians will perform a plethora of classical compositions and vibrant melodies.
