The Boonwattana School Marching Band will be among the debutants of the 2022 Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival that will unfold in Moscow from August 26 to September 4. This year, for the Festival’s fifteenth anniversary run, our guests from Thailand have put together a dynamic and colorful show ‘The Hapiness Has Come’, with the name speaking for itself.

The ensemble was established in 1991 to promote and support gifted and talented students, develop their potential and skills.

The ensemble has participated in various competitions, coming first in the majority of them. The musicians from the Boonwattana School Marching Band managed to win the 2021 Thailand International Marching Competitions, receiving the Royal Trophy given by His Majesty the King of Thailand, and the 2022 Nakhonchaiburin Marching Competitions, securing the Royal Trophy given by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. In 2021, the group took part in the Thailand World Music Championships, becoming the Indoor Marching Arts champion and placing second in the Marching Field Show.

Under the lead of Kampanart Phochoochadchaval and Krittanan Saksiri, the musicians have prepared a flamboyant performance teemed with lively colors and traditional cultural accents. Audiences of the Spasskaya Tower Festival will listen to several authentic compositions, including Winds of Change by Randall D. Standridge, Minimally Speaking by Richard L. Saucedo, Canon In D by Johann Pachelbel, and even a music piece composed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej under the title When that will open the show.
