The 2021 Spasskaya Tower Festival’s Children Playground Activities Have Been Canceled

Go back

Due to the complicated epidemiological situation caused by the spread of the novel COVID-19 infection, the organizers of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival are forced to cancel all the special interactive activities involving our younger guests and participants. This year the Spasskaya Tower Children Playground won’t be constructed on Red Square.

Besides, the 2021 Festival’s program will lack the annual events carried out within the Spasskaya Tower for Kids special project, including the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival as well as the Inter-regional Children and Youth Honor Guard Contest.

The organizers have made this decision in compliance with Order N 68-УМ (current edition) issued by the Mayor of Moscow on June 8, 2020 containing restrictions on conducting public (mass) events on the territory of Moscow, and with the fact that this situation is a force majeure (consult paragraph 20(1) of Order N 12-УМ issued by the Mayor of Moscow on March 5, 2020), as well as following the recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Health and Rospotrebnadzor to prevent any risks to children and teenager health.
We are well aware that all across Russia young musicians and their teachers have been working hard to take part at the Festival’s contest programs. Unfortunately, the current pandemic keeps making drastic changes in our plans. But we sincerely believe that in 2022 we will finally meet on the country’s main square to carry out the Fifteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival together.

We wish you new artistic successes and take care.
