The 2020 Spasskaya Tower Festival on Red Square Has Been Cancelled

Go back

Dear friends!

We are to inform you that in order to prevent the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in Moscow and oblige with the restrictions on holding mass events in the capital in period from late August till early September, the city authorities have informed the organizers of the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival about the cancellation of all the Festival events on Red Square from August 28 to September 6, 2020.

Along the whole year the organizers and participants have been enthusiastically preparing for the Festival to amuse you with new and breathtaking programs, but protecting public health in these difficult times is the utmost priority for us right now, no matter how hard we’ve been getting ready.

The Directorate of the Festival would like to thank all the guests and audiences of the Spasskaya Tower Festival, who have already acquired their tickets leaving behind all the fears and difficulties related to the pandemic and new social distancing rules. All the acquired tickets will be refunded.

All the guests who acquired the tickets through the Festival official website —, or on the website using bank cards, within 10 days period will get their money back automatically to the bank card used while acquiring the ticket. While people who acquired tickets in the official box office of the Festival on Red Square or in the box offices of, the Festival accredited ticket representative, will get the refund at the box office at Tsvetnoy Bulvar metro station on presenting the application form for refund. Along its thirteen years the Spasskaya Tower Festival welcomed more than 160 artistic groups from 54 countries, and secured its right to be among the top three military tattoos of the world on par with the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, held in Scotland since 1950, and Basel Military Tattoo, held in Switzerland since 2006. Grand in its scope and unique in its emotional impact, the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival has proven itself as the most impressive and trending projects both in Russia and Moscow.

But the Festival wouldn’t have scored such an impressive record if it wasn’t for the support of its loyal audiences and fans, friends and partners, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia as well as other ministries and agencies of our country, and, last but not least, the Government of Moscow.

On behalf of the Festival Directorate we’d like to thank everyone for your continued interest, help and assistance in carrying out the Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival.

The Directorate of the Festival has already started preparing for the Fourteenth Spasskaya Tower International Military Music Festival that will take place on Moscow’s Red Square from August 27 to September 5, 2021 following the order of the President of the Russian Federation.
