Go back

August 24 and 25 Moscow will host large scale celebrations dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the Russian Flag that are going to take place on Poklonnaya Hill, Akademika Sakharova Avenue, VDNH and other major venues of the capital. We are eager to announce that the Spasskaya Tower Festival participants will also become part of these events.

Thus, the celebrations on Poklonnaya Hill will start August 24 at 12 am near the First World War Soldiers Monument. It will feature the Combined Band of the Moscow School N 1770, participants of the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival. Young musicians will open the concert. They will perform a medley of Russian traditional and popular songs, including the world-famous Katusha, demonstrate an open-air ground drill concert to the A-Haband Take on Me and ABBA’s Queen on Stagesongs. To say goodbye to the audience they will perform Vasiliy Agapkin’s Farewell of Slavianka march.

Then, they will pass on the floor to the Rhythmy SticksDrummer Cadet Band of the same school.

The Kremlin Equestrian School and the Cavalry Escort of the Presidential Regiment will be the headliners of the Saturday’s concert.

Meanwhile, the Band of the Russian Emergencies Ministry will take part in the celebrations rolling out at the Akademika Sakharova Avenue, starting at 1 pm sharp.
