I’ll Come Back When the Snow Has Melt…

Go back

‘Lizaveta’ is a song composed for ‘Alexander Parkhomenko’ movie telling the story of the life of Alexander Parkhomenko, the commander who served in times of the Russian civil war (1917–1922). Shootings started right on the eve of the Great Patriotic War in Kiev, but finished in Tashkent where the Kiev Film Studios were evacuated.

Composer Nikita Bogoslovskiy and poet Evgeniy Dolmatovskiy managed to be very precise in depicting the vibe of the times. Besides while composing the song the authors predicted when the long-awaited Victory would come: «I’ll come back in Spring, and open the gate… I’ll come back when the snow has melt».
