How long does the performance last?
The duration of the performance is expected to be about 2 hours 15 minutes.
When do particular ensembles perform?
All the ensembles announced to take part in the Festival this year will perform in each show
On which day will be the celebratory firework?
Please note that due to the restrictions imposed in Moscow the Festival nightime shows will lack the traditional (high-altitude) fireworks display.
Do I need to buy a tickets for my child?
Children under the age of 7 can attend the performance of the Festival free of charge, but without providing a separate seat and only if accompanied by an adult with a ticket (no more than one child per adult). Children over the age of 7 are allowed to the performances of the Festival only with a separate ticket.
We bought tickets, at what time may we come to an evening performance?
We advise you to arrive in advance.
Entrance to the area of the Festival (Red Square) is opened at 19:00.
19:30 — entrance to the Festival stands is opened.
20:00 — main performance of the Festival starts.
May I come with my camera and shoot the performance?
Oh sure! We will be happy if you have a good memory of our event. Non-commercial shooting for personal use is permitted.
IMPORTANT! It is forbidden to use flashes, tripods and equipment with large lenses as this disturbs other spectators of the Festival.
It is also forbidden to leave your place and shoot standing in the aisle or in front of the spectator rows. This disturbs other festival spectators and contradicts the safety rules.
In case of violations, representatives of the Festival guarding may ask you to put away the facilities and/or leave the stands.
Is there a roof covering above the stands?
We try to maintain the spirit and uniqueness of the venue of the Festival, i.e. the Red Square. We do not restrict the area with walls and barriers. Our performances are held in the open air.
How is it better to get dressed to visit an evening performance?
We ask all our guests to choose clothes according to season and to take into account the instability of weather conditions of late August — early September. It is always cool in the evening, after sunset. Rain is possible.
If it rains, will the performance take place?
The performance will take place in any weather. The program of activities may be changed due to adverse weather conditions.
May I come with my vacuum bottle?
In order to ensure safety, and in accordance with the regulations on mass urban events, carrying of any liquids at the quantity of more than 100ml, as well as bottles, cups, jugs or cans, including canned goods, and other items made of polyester, glass or any other fragile, beating or, conversely, too hard material, as well as «tetrapak» packages is strictly forbidden.
What are working hours of the Red Square during the Festival?
The Red Square is open for visitor every day until 16:00.
Starting from 16:00, the Red Square is closed for visitors except for accredited persons.
Starting from 19:00, the Red Square can be entered by tickets to the Festival for the current date.
What are working hours of museums?
The Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat (Pokrovsky Cathedral, Saint Basil’s Cathedral) in accordance with its working hours, but till 16:00.
What are working hours of the Mausoleum?
With no restriction, in accordance with its working hours.
