The Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival
The Spasskaya Tower for Kids is a special project carried out by the Spasskaya Tower International Cultural Center since 2013.
The project includes an array of entertaining and educational activities, as well as an opportunity for some of the best young musicians in Russia to participate in the Spasskaya Tower Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival and gain valuable experience performing in front of hundreds of guests and residents of Moscow.
Since its inception in 2014, the Children and Youth Bands Festival has been extending its reach both in numbers and geographically. The organizers are committed to discovering and supporting young, talented musicians, as well as promoting conditions for their cultural growth.
In 2024, the Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival unfolded on Moscow’s Red Square from August 26 to 28, with the lineup comprising children and youth ensembles, who emerged victorious in the 2023 online qualifying round, hailing from diverse regions of Russia.
The goal of the project is to promote the art of military music among youngsters, evoking curiosity in various musical styles and forming a unified culture, as well as revitalizing the youth band movement, defining patriotic ideals and preserving national music traditions.
It’s worth noting, that the Children and Youth Wind Bands Festival does not charge its participants, both musicians and their representatives, any fees.
