The Central Military Band of the Mongolian Armed Forces General Staff

Colonel Tchoyzhilzhav Gansukh, Chief of the band — Chief Military Band Service of the Mongolian Armed Forces, Honored Artist of Mongolia.

Formed in 1950 the Central Military Band of the Mongolian Armed Forces is largely engaged in accompanying important official ceremonies and meetings with the heads of states and governments. It also takes part in receptions on the occasion of national celebrations and memory days, as well as in solemn events at the highest level.

The Central Military Band of the Mongolian Armed Forces is a large group of professionals of the highest level that regularly performs with different concert programs. Their vast repertoire includes classic, folk, popular, jazz music, military and marching compositions as well as anthems of other countries. The band has been repeatedly taking part in different international military music festivals in South Korea, Germany, Great Britain and Russia.

The Special Squadron of the Honor Guard named after Z. Yondon

The Special Squadron of the Mongolian Honor Guard was established in 1955 under the command of Major Zhamsranguyn Yondon in order to accompany military ceremonies and welcome foreign delegations.

Besides protocol events the squadron also takes part in various national celebrations at the highest level, thus retaining and maintaining national military traditions.
