The Honor Guard Unit of the Third Special Task Brigade of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Belarus Republic

Part of the Third Special Task Brigade of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Honor Guard Unit is a very special division entrusted to be one of the country’s hallmarks.

In 2004, the President of Belarus signed an order establishing a new combined honor guard unit, bringing together representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Internal Troops and Border Guard Forces. Thus, the Honor Guard Unit of the Third Special Task Brigade of the MVD Internal Troops gained its official status.
Nowadays, both as a standalone division and part of the combined group, the Honor Guard Unit carries out various ceremonial activities. The unit’s lineup is made up mainly of conscripts.

Its activities largely focus on performing at different high-level official events involving heads of foreign states and governments from all over the globe as well as taking part in military parades and all major events happening within the Belarus Ministry of Internal Affairs. Members of the unit regularly showcase their precise arm drilling and trooping skills at the biggest state official celebrations.

Platz or open-air ground concerts turn out to be a breathtaking show when performed by the Honor Guard Unit of the Third Special Task Brigade of the MVD Internal Troops. Mastering a plethora of iconic drilling patterns, the members of the unit always strive to learn and create new figures and movements. Every year they prepare a brand new platz concert to celebrate the Belarus Independence Day, the most significant date in every country’s history. Depending on the timing each concert includes up to 200 different elements.

The Honor Guard Unit has already traveled abroad showcasing their striking skills in China, France, Qatar, Poland, Russia, the UAE, and Venezuela.
