The Exemplary Band of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) of the Belarus Republic traces its history back to June 20, 1945, when its predecessor, the Military Band of the 21st Motorized Rifle Unit of the USSR NKVD Convoy Division, was formed with the headquarters at Minsk.

As the leading artistic ensemble of the Belarus Ministry of Internal Affairs, the band takes part in all major cultural and socially relevant events held in the capital city of Minsk and all across the country. The ensemble’s musicians can always be spotted among participants of various national and international military bands’ festivals and contests. They perform on radio and TV, as well as go on tour both in the country and abroad.
The ensemble’s repertoire is based upon military and patriotic music pieces promoting ideology of the country’s statehood, but also includes some of the finest compositions by Belarus and international authors.
The band’s musicians have successfully toured around Europe, including France, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Germany, and the UK. They have performed at some of the biggest international music shows and festivals, and took part in contests held among military and police music ensembles.
The band was awarded the title of Honored Ensemble of the Belarus Republic for its major arts achievements and relevant contribution to the development of national culture.
