This elite ensemble exclusively comprises professional military musicians from different provinces of the country. Their uniform is based on a special tartan of the Canadian Royal Air Force, which was officially approved on 15th August 1942 by Lord Layon, Scottish “King of Coat Armour”.
The main task of military pipe bands in Canada is to provide musical support to the Armed Forces. They worthily represent Canada at the local, national and international level. The band members have taken part in such famous festivals as military Tattoo in Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Virginia and Honolulu (USA), Apeldoorn (Netherlands) and in Moscow (2007).
