Brigadier Hamid Ali Khan, Head of the delegation.
Major Ghulam Ali, Conductor of the Band.
The Armed Forces Band was formed in 1947. Members of the group are very proud of their performances during the visits of the heads of different states, heads of governments, as well as the chairmen of the committees and the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Pakistan.
The band is combining the traditions of the armed forces of the British Empire and the national heritage in their music, performing Pakistani official anthems and classical music as well as national folk tunes and songs.
The Armed Forces Band was directly involved in the armed conflicts of 1965 and 1971. Pakistan’s military musicians contribute to the peaceful coexistence of nations through participating in various festivals and commemorative events.
