Tri-Services Band (Army, Navy and Air Forse)

Tri-Services Band consists of musicians from the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The band’s repertoire is conventional for European musical culture. Aside from ceremonial march music, there are compositions of classical genres, such as symphonies, overtures, concerts, etc. In addition, the band’s musicians are masters of national instruments typical for classical Indian music. For this reason, the band preserves its national elements and identity.

The band regularly participates in international festivals and visits other countries to perform at celebrations dedicated to various national festivals. In 2016 during the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Japan, the band marched along the streets of Tokyo in a parade together with Japanese servicemen. In addition, the band has performed at the International Navy Parade in Australia, music tattoos in Sweden and France, and the Berlin Air Show. The band is a permanent participant of the annual parade in New Delhi devoted to Republic Day celebrations. The band has repeatedly received awards both in India and abroad.
