Established in 1949, the Band of the Signal Corps of Versailles is one of the largest ensembles in the French Army. All the members of the ensemble are musicians with academic background. To become part of the group they have to go through several selection tours.
Having a wind section as the base, the band may also transform in a chamber orchestra (as well as wind quintet, saxophone quartet, clarinet quartet, etc.). Its repertoire is manifold. Military and classical compositions, jazz and modern music pieces are some of the highlights that musicians have in store. Hence, the Band of the Signal Corps of Versailles is an indispensable part of all national celebrations.
