Since 1989, Sergey Mazayev has been the one and only soloist and leader of Moral Codex, the legendary Russian rock band. In 1999, he started performing with Igor Butman’s jazz ensemble. In 2000, Sergey Mazayev put forward the idea of recording together at the Mosfilm film studio, and eventually becoming the producer of the project.

Together with soloist Alena Dolbik, the Sergei Mazaev Band released two albums, titled Songs of the Motherland (2019) and You Are Here (2021).
