The President’s Band of the State Guard Service includes wind and chamber orchestras, pop music, dance and folk ensembles. The band’s repertoire includes anthems of almost all countries, martial music, classical music of foreign and Kazakh composers, as well as dance and entertainment music.
The State Guard Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan was established on the basis of the Republican Guard founded in 1992. The main tasks of the military unit are to support formal and ceremonial state events, as well as to provide musical accompaniment for the changing of the Honor Guard ritual, which has been held since 2001. The name «Aibyn» was added in 2014.
