Le Cheile Sa Cheol Massed Pipes and Drums
Jim O’Hagan, Head of the Band.
The idea of creating a massed pipes and drums that would unite musicians from all over Ireland was realized in 2014 with the foundation of Le Cheile Sa Cheol Massed Pipes and Drums that from Celtic is translated as united by music. The band features musicians from all over Ireland each sticking to their own roots, traditions and believes and representing both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (which is part of the United Kingdom).
For a long period of time Jim O’Hagan, Head of the Le Cheile Sa Cheol Massed Pipes and Drums, served as a chief piper and instructor at the 28th Motorized Rifle Battalion of the Irish Army representing his country in the Middle East, Europe and the USA. His free time Jim O’Hagan devoted to leading the Colmcille band which in 2008 won the World Pipe Band Championship in its category.
The Le Cheile Sa Cheol Massed Pipes and Drums performs traditional Irish music and often takes part in various festivals dedicated to the culture of the contemporary Celtic peoples of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man and Brittany.
