Fanfara Bersaglieri San Donà di Piave

Fanfara Bersaglieri San Donà di Piave founded in 1966 as the music band of the local Bersaglieri’s Section is considered to be a representative of the historical Italian area known as “Basso Piave”. Once disbanded the band was formed again in 1986.
Nowadays, the band counts 35 musicians, among whom Bersaglieri on discharge who served the Italian Army, simple musicians and Bersaglieri’s spirit enthusiasts.
In parallel and in addition to the usual weekly musical rehearsals, formal training is scheduled in order to reach a high level of professionalism, which can be compared to Regimental bands.
The band repertoire mainly includes Bersaglieri and patriotic music pieces, exclusively played with brass instruments. In addition, musicians perform military and historical melodies as well as a few songs of the Opera and folk genre, national and international pop music.
Fanfara Bersaglieri San Donà di Piave for the first will take part in the “Spasskaya Tower” Festival but military music friendship between Italy and Russia has begun back in 2007. Over ten years of history of the “Spasskaya Tower” Festival nine Italian groups have participated in it, including the legendary Carabinieri Band, Municipal Police Band of Rome, Band of the Air Forces of Italy, Brass Band of Bersaglieri “Guglielmo Colombo”, flagwavers from Cori, Sansepolcro, Gubbio and Arezzo.
