The Military Band of the Twenty Seventh Guards Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade of Sevastopol and Red Banner Order

History of the Twenty Seventh Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade of Sevastopol and Red Banner Order dates back to its predecessor, the 535th Rifle Regiment, formed in 1940 in the Kharkov Region. In 1941 owing to its staff bravery and courage the regiment was awarded the title «guards» and in 1943 it was reformed into the Sixth Guards Rifle Regiment. In 1944 the group took part in the Battle for Sevastopol. In 1983 the regiment underwent another reform and got the name of the Twenty Seventh Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade inheriting all the insignia and titles of its glorious predecessor.
Nowadays the brigade is located in Moscow.
The Military Band of the 61899 Military Unit has the honor to be among the permanent participants of the famous Victory Parade on Red Square. It is actively engaged in different music and cultural events held in Moscow.
